The Church

Richmond Hill Pentecostal Church is an Evangelical Pentecostal Church in the town of Richmond Hill (pop. 160,000). We were established in 1978 and built our current facility in 1982. Our Sunday services draw some 250 people representing over 50 different nations.

The Leadership

We are also governed by a Board of Deacons; a Trustee Board; and a Local Church Constitution.

The Fellowship

We are a self governing church affiliated with The Pentecostal Assemblies of Canada (over 1100 churches nationwide).

Mission Statement

Richmond Hill Pentecostal Church exists by the grace of God in Christ, to love, worship and serve God through the development of His people, who do the work of the ministry through the power of the Holy Spirit and in accordance with the Word of God. (Matthew 28:18-20; Acts 1:8; Luke 10:27; Ephesians 4:11,12).

Vision Statement

Our desire is to glorify God through times of corporate worship, prayer, teaching, discipleship, fellowship, service and evangelism. (Proverbs 29:18; Acts 2:41-47).

Core Values

  • We value God, His Word, His creation, His redemptive purpose through Christ for the world, and His presence through the Holy Spirit.

  • We value people without Christ to whom we owe the compassion of Christ, and an opportunity to receive the gospel and enter into Christian fellowship.

  • We value individual believers and their personal commitment to Christ, the baptism of the Holy Spirit, discipleship, Christian family life and fulfilment of the will of God.

  • We value local churches that are marked by sound doctrine, celebratory worship, every member ministry, loving relationships, Holy Spirit empowered evangelism, anointed proclamation and practical expressions of Christian faith.

  • We value a cooperative fellowship that enhances the church's ability to fulfill its mandate, through servant leadership, a shared vision, flexible structures, and strategic mobilization of its resources.
  • Beliefs

  • We are a diverse congregation representing over 50 nations. Yet, we hold certain unalterable truths and beliefs in common. These beliefs form the foundation and inspiration for all we are or do as a people.

  • We believe...in One God, eternally existent in three persons: the Father, the Son and the Holy Spirit.

  • We believe...though created in God's image, mankind is alienated from God by both inherent and actualized sin.

  • We believe...in the forgiveness of sin, the regeneration of the soul, and the redemption of individual lives through the sinless sacrifice of Jesus Christ on the cross.

  • We believe...that through God's grace by our faith, we are "saved" and brought back into a personal relationship with a loving God.

  • We believe...in the power, indwelling presence and baptism of the Holy Spirit.

  • We believe...in the God inspired, inerrant Bible as the Supreme source of truth for Christian belief and living.

  • We believe...in holy living through obedience to God's Word and Holy Spirit.

  • We believe...in Divine gifts, Divine healing and Divine health.

  • We believe...in Christ's lordship of the church and the regular observance of water baptism by immersion and celebration of the Lord's Supper (communion).

  • We believe...in a literal Heaven for the redeemed and Hell for those who reject God's grace in Christ.

  • We believe...that one day, Jesus will return from Heaven in a physical literal manner.
